Program Evaluations

  • PLEA Program Evaluation: Longitudinal study (2008-2012) of 6 PLEA programs supporting youth in conflict with the law with illicit substance abuse issues and other challenges.

  • PLEA Career Path Program Evaluation: An evaluation of PLEA’s Career Path program which operated from 2010 to 2012 and provided meaningful employment and mentorship to males and females, ages 15 to 18, who are at risk of criminal exploitation.

  • Youth Gang Consultation (Tri-Cities and Ridge Meadows): A consultation to gain community input into the issue of youth gang involvement in Tri-Cities and Ridge Meadows (2013).

  • Breaking Through the Barriers: This 2014 report shares findings from a McCreary Centre Society project on youth with FASD who have substance use challenges. This project was funded by the Department of Justice Canada’s Youth Justice Fund. It emerged from a community research partnership between McCreary Centre Society, PLEA Community Services, Douglas College’s Faculty of Child, Family and Community Studies, the John Howard Society of North Island and North Island College.
